Charles Noel "Butch"
Simpson
-Charles Noel “Butch” Simpson age 65 passed
away Monday, January 30, 2012. Services will be held at 11AM Friday,
February 3, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Jody
Branch officiating. Burial will be at Georgia Veterans Memorial
Cemetery.
Mr. Simpson was a native and life long-resident of
Milledgeville. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and
Georgia College. He was retired from the United States Postal Service
having served as a rural letter carrier and also as Postmaster of the
Irwinton Post Office. He also was a retired College Instructor at
Georgia Military College. Mr. Simpson was a member of the National
Association of Postmasters of the United States and served as a Captain
in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and rose to the rank of
Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6PM
until 8PM at Moores Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the
Kidney Foundation or to American Cancer Society.
Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of
arrangements.

Mrs. Edna B. Hodges,
Mother of Anderson (Andy) Hodges,
passed away peacefully on Friday evening,
January 6, 2012. I am sure you remember,
for many years Andy was the Atlanta District
Manager. The funeral took place on Monday,
January 10, 2012 in Millen, Georgia.
I am sure Andy would appreciate messages
of sympathy from our Postal Family. His
